MISSION
United Indian Students in Higher Education (UISHE) has five primary goals:
Provide Support to Native Students entering higher education.
Support Native students in preseving their traditional ways and customs.
Provide a base for cultural education to Non-Native Populations.
Improve the Overall community racial relations.
Develop Positive role models and string leaders.
Their goals will be accomplished by providing an atmosphere that increases the awareness and understanding of Native culture through direct contact in the various cultural activities. We provide a way to identify, inspire, and cultivate Native students and community members. We are dedicated to preserving, promoting, and supporting all elements that contribute to the will being and cultural traditions of Native People.
