UISHE is dedicated to provide native and non native community with cultural events and activities that promote greater understanding of native cultures. Some of these activities include Annual powwows, Annual salmon bake, Annual Youth Conference, Annual UISHE retreat , Weekly Meetings, Study Groups, Art Shows, Film festivals, and health & wellness campaigns.

Along with the various activities mentioned, members will also accumulate many benefits such as meeting other native students, community networking opportunities, chances to gain professional experience, Internship opportunities, attending regional and national conferences, and working with PSU student organizations, Faculty and Staff
